Parvo Puppies
Doing Better - December 7, 2008
Here is the latest news. Rusty
and Moo Moo were discharged from the hospital on Tuesday to the
care of Mike and Jerri. Mike, always the handyman, has made a
"sterile" nursey area in the garage with heat lamps
and a radio to play some soothing music. They will be at the
Caswell home for at least 2 weeks to allow them to get stronger
and fully recover. Unfortunatley, Roxy is still at the hospital
and not out of the woods yet. The vet bills are astronomical
so we really need your support to help us out. Now its even easier
to donate using PayPal. Just click on the link below.
Hospital Videos - December 2, 2008
Here are Roxy, Rusty and Moo
Moo at the pet hospital. They are getting IV nutrition and medication.
If you turn up the volume you will be able to hear and see that
they are not too happy about their current predicament. Hopefully
they will be released soon and then make a full recovery.
Parvo Puppies Need Help - November 29, 2008
We have just taken in a litter
of six 10-week old basset puppies. Unfortunately four of the
six have been exposed to parvovirus and one has already died.
The other three - Roxy, Rusty and Moo Moo are receiving emergency
treatment at the Animal Medical Center of East County. Rusty
and Moo Moo are the worst off and are very weak . All are needing
IV fluids and lots of medications.
Their medical care will be expensive
and the initial estimate is over $1,500 per puppy. These three
pups are adorable and need all our help. If you can send a donation
to help us pay for the cost of their care we would be very grateful.
Tax deductible contributions can be sent to Basset Hound Rescue
& Adoption, PO Box 601304, San Diego, CA 92160.
Here are the three adorable little
buggers. We will continue to post updates here and more pictures
after Jerri gets back from the animal hospital.
