President's Corner
It is hard to imagine another year
has flown past!
Basset Hound Rescue has seen more
bassets relinquished due to home foreclosures. However, because
of your on-going support and generosity, we have been able to
re-home over 30 bassets this past year. Basset Hound Rescue has
also paid for several spay and neuter procedures as well as other
medical care that made it possible for the families to keep their
basset hounds.
This year, I am excited to announce
that we have acquired many special basset hound collectables
from a private party. Some of these items are one-of-a-kind figurines,
children's books, salt and pepper shakers, and more. We will
post some pictures on our web site (www.sandiegobassetrescue.org).
These items will be available at our raffle booths.
We want to let you know that once
again the wonderful and talented Chef Deborah Scott will be providing
tasty hamburgers and corn on the cob for purchase at the picnic.
Hot dogs and cold beverages will also be available for purchase.
Please visit one of Chef Scott's restaurants soon (Kemo Sabe,
Indigo Grill, Island Prime and C-Level Lounge). We love the C-
Level Lounge at Harbor Island!!

has passed away since our last event, please send us a copy of
a photo so we can include it on a special board that will honor

Myles's Corner
Hi there fellow hound doggies!
Can you help us with the picnic (aka Myles's giant party)?
- Spend an hour or more at a picnic
booth
- Help with set up and tear down.
(We get to the park at 7 a.m.)
- Get raffle prizes and let me know
what they are before the picnic
- Come to the "basket stuffing
party" on May 22nd and 23rd to make baskets for the raffle
booth
I look forward to seeing everyone
at the Picnic!
